Sterling Russell enjoys a local reputation as an advocate for freedom and liberty in Montgomery County, Texas. Mr. Russell spent the last 10 years arguing in favor of a limited constitutional government, free markets, and ending prohibition. He is known across the local community of republicans and democrats as always supporting civil liberties and constitutional rights above all else. Sterling Russell has always supported small business and will continue to after being elected to represent the State of Texas.
Sterling Russell was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Spring, Texas. He graduated from Spring High School and immediately joined the work force. Over the next ten years, Mr. Russell worked tirelessly in the energy sector to ensure quality, highly efficient, and environmentally sound products were introduced into the field. Sterling has worked on projects on 3 continents, 5 countries, and across the United States.
The past five years he has spent the majority of his working hours managing multiple employees to ensure all projects would come in under budget and exceed all quality expectations. Born into a working class family, Sterling earned a highly cautious view of government involvement in private enterprise after watching it destroy his father's small business. That coupled with the view that one's personal decisions are no one's but their owns, he quickly fell in line with the Libertarian party. Sterling has been vocal for the last decade that one's personal life should never be interfered with by any form of government; local, state or federal.
